Christlikeness is key
to Christianity —
we are to be
like Our Teacher.
As C. S. Lewis,
that old don,
said while ’dressing
in his Mere:

“‘Putting on Christ’ . . .
is not one among
many jobs
a Christian has to do;
and it is not
a sort of special exercise
for the top class.
It is the whole of Christianity.
Christianity offers
nothing else at all.“

Brothers, sisters,
may Jesus be our true teacher,
may He be the clothes we wear,
may His Spirit metamorph us,
may Christlikeness be our prayer.
